Family, Pregnancy Workout

Wow, the decision to start a blog.  Why?  Well, I absolutely love my life and I love sharing it with others.  You might have already read the about me section and if not, well, that's where my nutshell info is.  I've decided to make my first post about my family...the growing one!  On Tuesday my husband and I had a positive pregnancy test, to which we were elated!  One very long single month of attempting and boom!  Prego!  I spent a good two months, before trying, prepping for this...I upped the workout routines to 4 mile runs, hour long swimming sessions, multiple yoga sessions, spin, weights, and other various cardio routines and lost 7 pounds.  Started taking the prenatal vitamin again.  Cut out my coffee, alcohol, and processed foods.  So, now that our journey has begun, 4 weeks yesterday, I highly intend (key word INTEND) to stay active and fit, limit my weight gain to 25 pounds (I gained 42 with my daughter) and make healthier food choices down this beautiful road.

What can I say about pregnancy...having been through this, I remember and already feel incredibly proud.  I love having the ability to be the gender blessed with growing and carrying a child.  I feel pregnancy is an experience every woman should, God willing, take part in.  It's a right of passage for a woman and for me, it completely changed who I was and my purpose in life.

So yesterday's workout included a brisk 25 minute walk on incline ranging from 4.0-4.3 speeds followed by a moderate 45 minute yoga session.  Majority of my workouts throughout this pregnancy will include yoga, walking, and my favorite, swimming.  I realize I can continue the path I was on, but I wouldn't consider myself nearly a strong enough runner to keep going and I believe those main 3 are the safest and most peaceful workouts for baby growing. <3

4 weeks and counting...
